サイパン子ども大使招聘事業
子ども大使派遣事業の一環として、本年度はサイパンの子ども大使を糸田町で受け入れることになりました。来日したのは大使４人（写真前列左から）。５月８日（金）～５月１４日（木）の間、サイパンの子どもたちはホストファミリーのもとで、町の魅力や文化、祭りを経験しましました。

５月８日（金） 英彦山
英彦山で登山体験。心地よい汗を流し、田川地域の大パノラマを見てもらいました。
Mountaineering Mt.Hiko. They had a very good sweat, enjoyed the panoramic view of Tagawa district.
５月９日（土）～１０日（日） 糸田祇園山笠
町最大の行事、糸田祇園山笠を観光。県内屈指の大きさをほこる山笠が、男衆によって担ぎ上げられる勇壮な姿が印象に残ったのではないでしょうか。
They went to see the Itoda Gion Yamakasa which is the biggest festival in Itoda. It showed its brave figure - the strong men were carrying a portable shrine which was one of the biggest one in Fukuoka. It must have left a stronger impression on them.
５月１１日（月）
長崎原爆資料館を見学。真剣なまなざしで展示に見入っていました。
They visited Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum. All of them gazed in a serious manner.
５月１２日（火）～ 小学校
小学校を訪れて授業に参加。糸田っ子がどのような勉強をしているか、体験してもらいました。
Visiting the elementary school and took classes. They experienced the same classes which Itoda children study in school.
音楽の時間。「翼をください」を歌いながら、ダンスで体を動かしました。
At the music class. They sang a song 「Tubasa wo kudasai」(「Wings to Fly」) and exercised with dancing.
折り紙に挑戦。全員、上手に折ることができました。力作を手にもち、出来栄えを披露してくれました。
Challenge to make origami. Everyone was very good at folding paper into various figures. They showed us their finest effort.
給食の時間。班に分かれて昼ごはんを食べました。日本食の味はいかがだったでしょうか。
At lunch time. They had lunch separately in each group. How were Japanese foods? We hope they like them.
お別れのとき。糸田っ子たちとの別れを惜しみながら。
The time to part came. They stayed a while longer, unable to part from Itoda children.
５月１４日（木） 最後に
ホストファミリーとともに過ごした１週間。サイパンの子どもたちには、糸田の伝統や文化、祭りをたくさん経験してもらいました。この体験がいつまでも良い思い出として心に残ってほしいですね。
また会える日を楽しみに♪
